Motion Control Field Account Manager
About the Job
A leading industrial distributor of Motion Control and electronic factory automation components is seeking a field account manager. The Field Account Managers are provided a company car and all approved sales expenses are fully reimbursed. MOTION CONTROL SALES JOB SUMMARY:
The Motion Control account manager will be responsible for the development of profitable new business and the maintenance of existing business within assigned territory to achieve annual gross profit objectives.
Motion Control Account Managers make sales visits to assigned accounts, utilizing their technical expertise and superior selling skills to convince them to specify and purchase motion control and industrial automation components and systems.
Mition Control Field Account Managers work as part of a team with customer service reps and inside application engineers to anticipate and profitably satisfy each desired customer’s motion control needs.
MOTION CONTROL SALES PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Achieve annual gross profit objectives.
B. Generate profitable new business from assigned accounts.
C. Maintain existing business at assigned accounts.
D. Maintain a high degree of technical competence in products and their applications.
E. Develop strong inter-company relationships with assigned accounts by satisfying their individual needs.
MOTION CONTROL SALES POSITION SPECIFICATION:
A. Education and Experience-Ideal candidates must have a technical degree with experience in Motion Control sales or a minimum of five years industry-related sales experience.
B. Knowledge Required - 1) Demonstrated superior consultative selling skills and sales processes in one-on-one situations as well as group situations. Consultative selling skills are defined as prospecting, discovery, qualification, negotiation, closing, and account management skills. Ability to relate comfortably with all levels of contacts, including management and executive levels.
2) Demonstrated ability to understand and utilize new information quickly to include technical product information, market information, industry information, and business information (financial reports, annual reports, etc.).
3)Demonstrated knowledge of Company’s key products and/or technologies, or ability to learn quickly.
4) Fluent PC/Computer skills including Internet based tools, Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6) Demonstrated ability to sell value-based solutions.
