Recruiters for the Building Automation Controls Specialist Building Automation Controls Specialist About the Job: Excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing national engineering consulting firm that is seeking a Building Automation Controls Specialist.The Controls Specialist will provide support for inspection, testing, checkout, and troubleshooting of building automation, fire alarm, and security systems for commissioning, retro-commissioning, and system design projects. Responsibilities: -In-depth experience in the design, installation, programming, and/or checkout of building automation systems (direct digital controls, fire alarm, and security), from manufacturers such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Automated Logic, TAC, Alerton, Delta, Simplex, Notifier, General Electric, etc.. -Will have knowledge and experience working with network data protocols (such as BACnet & LonWorks). -Progress and other report writing -Preparing test procedures for checking operation of mechanical systems -Ongoing client interface about project progress -Daily interaction with management team -Proactive problem identification and resolution -Conformance to design documents -Coordination and verification of as-built drawings -Coordination and review of shop drawings Requirements: -Working knowledge of building automation and control strategies for HVAC systems and equipment. -Great leadership skills that promotes trust with a tremendous emphasis on high performance, continuous improvement and building a cohesive team environment. -Minimum of 3 years previous experience -The ability to travel 25% - 50%. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite. -The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
